Saturday, February 25, 2006 Finally I went to Omsk one month ago, and I´ll be back in a week. I will met my woman once again. Well, last and first time I was there it was -40º. But frigid weather doesn´t affect warm people, and Omskovites definitely are. I was in Gambrinus, an awesome bar that looks like Spain in terms of fun. Sure I´ll be there next saturday night, I look forward to see you there.

Saturday, January 21, 2006 I lived in Omsk during 1993 when I was a visiting lecturer at the Pedagogical University, teaching American English. I married a girl (Olga P. Karsakova) from Omsk in 1994 and we lived for another year in Moscow. Today, we live near Dallas, Texas and my mother-in-law, also from Omsk, lives with us. I will always cherish my time in Omsk and the wonderful friends, including Sasha Koltun, that I made while living there. Omsk is a special place. Can someone give me a few tips: do people speak English? are hotels expensive? are there direct flights from major european cities (london)? what is the attitude of the locals towards tourists? is the standard of life anything like europe? etc. thanks in anticipation
